Civic revamp for Inverness
The Highland Council has embarked on the first phase of a £6m revamp of central Inverness in Scotland.
The project will improve the city centre and create an integrated public artworks at the Victorian Market entrances.
Tulloch Civil Engineering is set to start work on site this autumn.
Stuart Black, chief executive of HIE Inverness and East Highland – one of nine local enterprise companies – said: “Inverness is a key gateway to the surrounding Highland region. The work will enhance the city centre environment and the emphasis on public art will help the growing stature of Inverness as a successful modern city.” Details: www.highland.gov.uk
