Coffee can kill you
Recent research at a hospital in Athens has revealed that coffee can increase the risk of heart disease.
The research, carried out for the European Society of Cardiology in Stockholm has shown that coffee, especially the first cup of the day, hardens blood vessels for up to two hours, raising blood pressure and putting strain on the heart.
The team concluded that the effects of the caffeine on the body were severe enough that the elderly and people with high blood pressure should consider giving up full-caffeine coffee entirely.
