Colliers to undertake Rotherham study
Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (MBC) has instructed Colliers International's research and consultancy team to conduct a retail and leisure study of Rotherham.
The aim of the study is to give the MBC an understanding of the issues surrounding the retail and leisure provision within the borough and identify the need for additional development.
Richard Doidge, head of research and consulting at Colliers said: "Last year we conducted a retail and leisure study of Rotherham town centre and this will provide an excellent starting point for carrying out this expanded borough-wide study.
"Rotherham has been subject to changing national leisure and retail market trends over the past 20 years, as well as experiencing the localised effects of the nearby Meadowhall Shopping Centre and Retail World. We anticipate that this borough study will supply the MBC with invaluable information that will prove vital to Rotherham's future retail success."
