Cotton to head Hospitality Action
Bob Cotton, the chief executive of the British Hospitality Association (BHA), has been appointed as the next president of Hospitality Action.
Hospitality Action is a benevolent organisation which provides immediate information and financial assistance to help those in the industry hit by a sudden or life-threatening crisis.
The organisation also runs educational seminars and offers financial aid to young people committed to entering the industry as well as assisting retirees.
Last year, it gave out almost £400,000 in grants.
Cotton is to succeed Garry Hawkes, who will stand down at the end of August after holding the position for eight years.
“I know what good work Hospitality Action does acting as a safety net for the vulnerable of our industry and I shall do my utmost to further its ability to help those who need help, through no fault of their own,” said Cotton.
