Council plans new Sauchie skate park
Clackmannanshire Council has organised a consultation event for 4 October in a bid to gather feedback on proposals for a new skate park in Sauchie.
The council has put forward proposals after a new housing project at the former Keilarsbrae builders' yard site generated £85,000 in developer contributions towards a recreational facility. Eddie Carrick, the council's sustainability portfolio holder, said no decisions had yet been made although the planned skate park is earmarked for Fairfield Park.
Eddie Carrick, the council's sustainability portfolio holder, said: "This is a chance to say whether you think a skate park is a good idea for Sauchie. And if you do think you would use a skate park, we'd like to hear more about what surface and ramps you'd like to see."
