Council reaches sports centre agreement
Cleeve School has taken over the operation of Cleeve Sports and Arts Centre, Bishop's Cleeve, after striking an agreement with the local authority.
Tewkesbury Borough Council (TBC) transferred responsibility for the centre's running to the school on 1 November following two years of negotiations. In return, the council will contribute one-off grant funding in a bid to help fund improvements to the facilities at the complex.
Elaine Hancox, lead member for safer, stronger and healthier communities, said: "This is fantastic news for the many customers who currently use the sports centre."
