Council rejects trust and private sector models
North West Leicestershire District Council (NWLDC) has confirmed that it has retained responsibility for the management of its leisure centres.
The council's cabinet agreed that keeping the running of facilities in-house would reduce the costs of the service, rather than private sector involvement. NWLDC leisure champion Trevor Pendleton said: "The investments and savings made by the council have allowed me to bring these investigations to an end and retain the management of the leisure facilities in house."
