Council reveals Skelmersdale sports plans
West Lancashire Borough Council (WLBC) has revealed its plans to bring a sports ground in Skelmersdale back into use.
WLBC has agreed to lease the Blaguegate All-Weather Playing Pitches site to Lathom-based J Mallinson, which will see the facilities open for the first time since 2003. Work is already underway on efforts to reopen the pitches, which will benefit from the installation of new all-weather surfaces. The pitches are due to open in spring 2011.
