Council seeks Magna Carta museum views
Runnymede Borough Council (RBC) is inviting local residents to comment on plans for the development of a new Magna Carta interpretation and visitor centre in Surrey.
It is hoped the scheme would provide a "lasting legacy" dedicated to the historic signing of the document near to Runnymede Meadows and complement an existing memorial. A RBC spokesperson said: "As a lasting legacy for the Magna Carta sealing in Runnymede nearly 800 years ago, there is a desire for an interpretation/visitors centre to be located near to the Runnymede Meadows."
