Council seeks further views on Northumberland leisure facility proposals
Northumberland County Council is inviting local residents and businesses to comment on what arts activities should be on offer at Ashington's new community and leisure facility.
Local development company Arch has appointed Parsons Brinckerhoff to design the complex, which is to feature a library service alongside leisure facilities such as a pool and a gym.
A consultation held earlier this year gathered feedback on proposed sites for the project, as well as the broader range of facilities that local residents wished to see included.
Under plans agreed by the council's executive in April based on the initial feedback, the facility will also house a sports hall.
