Council to review Wycombe stadium decision
A Wycombe District Council (WDC) commission is to meet on 15 February to scrutinise a cabinet decision to back a community stadium project at Air Park.
The council's improvement and review commission will decide if it is to proceed with a call-in of the decision, which was taken on 17 January. Councillor Ian McEnnis made an intention to call-in the cabinet decision over concerns that not enough work had been taken to examine the Air Park site against alternative options.
The process will also explore if the cabinet needs to explain how it will meet circumstances needed to overturn green belt and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty policies. If the commission opts to proceed with the call-in, the cabinet decision will be implemented or sent back for further investigation based on the commission's response.
