Councillors to discuss Bishop's Stortford plans
East Herts District Council (EHDC) has announced that its development control committee will meet in Bishop's Stortford to discuss plans for a £100m revamp of the town centre.
Details of the time and venue for the committee meeting - usually held in Hertford - are yet to be confirmed, but proposals aren't due to be discussed until April. Henderson investment company is behind the plans, which will include restaurants; a hotel; a digital cinema; shops; a department store; and housing.
EHDC executive member for community safety and protection Malcolm Alexander said: "We've decided to hold the meeting in Bishop's Stortford because we are aware of the importance of the proposals for the town."
