Country club planned for Whoop Hall

The Whoop Hall Hotel and Restaurant in Kirby, Lancashire is set to open a country club this autumn.

The 400-year-old hotel and restaurant is adding a variety of new health and fitness facilities at a cost of more than £750,000 in a bid to modernize its leisure, health and fitness offering.

The new 7,500sq ft Whoop Hall Country Club will feature an 18 metre swimming pool as well as sauna and steam room facilities and a spa pool. There will also be a fitness suite with equipment supplied by Star Trac and a series of treatment rooms.

More than 450 members have already signed up, and it is hoped the figure will rise to at least 750 in time for the official opening in September. Details: +44 (0)1524 271284
