Coventry Transport Museum reopens
The Coventry Transport Museum, which holds the world’s largest collection of British-made cars, motorbikes and bicycles, reopened yesterday to the public following a £7.5m revamp.
The museum unveiled four new galleries, including the Introductory Gallery the interactive Futures Gallery and the Temporary Exhibition gallery.
The refurbishment of the museum was made possible by a combination of grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Designation Challenge Fund, the European Regional Development Fund, the Millennium Commission, Coventry City Council and other charitable organisations.
