Crocodile Dundee park expansion opens
Paramount’s Great America theme park in Santa Clara, California, will open the expansion to its Australian-themed waterpark, Crocodile Dundee’s Boomerang Bay, this weekend (7 May).
The size of the waterpark has been tripled, expanding it to 11 acres, and new rides include a 150,000 gallon heated billabong lagoon, two new body water slides and one of the region’s longest lazy rivers.
All the slides at the waterpark are inspired by the Crocodile Dundee movie trilogy, and include the DownUnder Thunder, the Didgeridoo falls and a multi-level water fortress called Jackaroo Landing.
Crocodile Dundee’s Boomerang Bay opened at Paramount’s Great America in May 2004.
