Crunch adds Californian site
US-based health club operator Crunch will open the doors to its newest location in El Cajon, California, US in July 2011.
The 20,000sq ft (1,900sq m) club is the tenth franchise deal secured by the chain in the past year.
Memberships will begin at US$9.99 a month and the club will feature equipment from Precor, Octane, Star Trac, Hoist Roc-It and Free Motion as well as a range if free weights.
Headquartered in New York City, and co-owned by entrepreneur Mark Mastrov's New Evolution Ventures (NeV) and private-equity firm Angelo Gordon, Crunch currently has more than 100,000 members with 33 gyms worldwide, including 10 franchise locations.
