A one-day conference looking at the digital transformation of the cultural sector is coming to London’s Royal Institution of Great Britain next month.

Taking place on 23 June, CultureGeek'>CultureGeek offers a programme of speakers from leading organisations who will share insight as to how digital is changing the workplace, and how to adapt to these new and ever-changing environments.

Jasper Visser, senior partner for Vissch+Stam and co-author of the Digital Engagement Framework, will host the event, which boasts a strong line-up of speakers specialising in the digital sector.

Among the day’s highlights, Fiona Romeo, director of digital content and strategy for New York’s Museum of Modern Art, will open proceedings, followed by Louise Halliday, head of marketing and communications at the Royal Albert Hall who will discuss the embedding digital strategy in a heritage organisation.

Adam Clarke, a digital artist who specialises in using the game Minecraft to inspire kids to seek out Galleries and Museums, will speak about how the popular videogame can be used to inspire a generation, exploring projects he’s previously worked on such as Tatecraft – which was previously shortlisted for the Tate Britain IK prize.

Andy Levey, formerly of Cirque du Soleil and now embarking on a new role at Dragone in the UAE, is also included on the list of speakers. Levey will discuss how Facebook and Snapchat have created tools for institutions to create their own live channel. Levey will also share why this is important, how it can be done and how it can bring people to cultural settings.

The day has a full lineup of speakers coming from around the UK and the rest of the world to share their knowledge about the digital transformation of the culture sector.
