Cybex International UK has launched a Cordless Arc Cross Trainer.

The new self powered Cross Trainer includes all the benefits of the existing award winning version, but has the added capability of being moved around within a gym without needing additional wiring.

Features include a resistance range of from 15 to 900 watts; a Bilateral Reciprocal Movement designed to offer a relaxed feel at low resistance levels and high intensity training at high resistance; and biomechanics which allow for high intensity training by placing high loads on the muscles and less stress on the joints.

Feet and ankles see reduced stress thanks to four bar linkage input arms keeping the footplates at a constant angle with the floor, and an adjustable incline provides variations in the pattern of motion. Low inclines result in a gliding action, with higher inclines giving a comparable increase in the motion of hips and knees.

The machine has a uniwelded 11 gauge steel power coated frame for extra durability and eddy-current brake resistance for higher power levels at low brake speeds.
