DC Leisure aims for CPD accreditation
DC Leisure has trained over 3,000 of its staff in the past year with the intention of gaining CPD accreditation within the next 12 months.
The group – with the help specialist training providers Lifetime, The Skills Partnership (TSP) and the Lifesigns Group – managed to access £400,000 from the Learning Skills Council (LSC) over the last year.
Since the launch of its vocational training and development programme at the start of this year, DC Leisure has signed up 211 staff to fitness and personal training NVQ’s in partnership with Lifetime, with 75 per cent enrolling at level three and above.
TSP is guiding 70 DC Leisure staff through vocational training and the Lifesigns Group is working with the company to deliver first aid qualifications approved by the Health & Safety Executive.
DC Leisure also runs mandatory in-house training courses for all its staff in ‘disability awareness’ and ‘exceptional customer service’. Details: www.dcleisure.co.uk
