DMP unveils Dublin Mountains Way
A new 43km (26.7-mile) mountain trail between Shankhill and Tallaght near Dublin, Ireland, has been unveiled by the Dublin Mountains Partnership (DMP).
The Dublin Mountains way - a flagship project of the DMP - is designed to offer walkers with a series of terrain that overlooks the city, including forest, open mountain and lakeland. A new map has also been made available by the DMP, which has been produced in partnership with East West Mapping, to outline public spaces available for recreational use and access points.
Dún Laoghaire and Rathdown County Council is one of the partners of the DMP. Council cathaoirleach Lettie McCarthy said: "I am delighted that the Dublin Mountains is being developed in this way, creating wonderful recreational facilities for the people of the Dublin area and beyond."
