Date and venue for 2007 SkillsActive convention announced
The 2007 SkillsActive convention will take place at the newly constructed Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, 1 May.
Entitled ‘Staying Ahead Of The Game: Energising The Industry’ the convention will bring together an audience of more than 300 leaders and senior managers from business with the local government, education and voluntary sectors to sign off the first stage of the new Sector Skills Agreement.
Following the recommendations in the Leitch Review to build a world class demand-led skills sector in the UK by 2020, the convention will showcase the delivery of the Sector Skills Agreement, and set out the next steps towards the London Olympics in 2012 and beyond.
Keynote Speaker at the convention this year will be Richard Caborn MP, Minister for Sport at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport
