David Lloyd expands
David Lloyd Leisure (DLL) is now well on the way to achieving its target of 100 clubs nationwide.
The health club operator, part of the Whitbread group, has opened its 55th site in Kingston. The £8m club includes a gym, two exercise studios offering 60 group classes a week, a 20m pool and hydro pool, a steam room, sauna and a Saks health and beauty salon.
The group also recently opened a new site in Fulham, which was designed by Brighton-based MED to reflect its urban city location. 'We wanted to create an innovative club that would catapult DLL into urban life in the new millennium,' says MED director, Chris Morrison. Details: +44 (0)1582 844 899
