Davy Crockett ride opens in San Antonio
Sally Corporation has launched its newest attraction, Davy Crockett’s Tall Tales Ride and Interactive Outpost, at the Alamo Plaza in San Antonio, US.
Wooden barrel-style ride cars carry guests through a number of scenes telling stories of Crockett from his youth to his days in Washington.
The tales are narrated by a black bear named Death Hug, the only bear too strong for Crockett.
Music underscores the action as tales unfold using animatronic characters, video animation and visual and sound special effects.
John Wood, Sally’s chief executive, said: “There are two sides to the legend of Davy Crockett; the true bona fide patriot whose exploits are chronicled in the history books and the Davy who was the hero of his own imaginative, whimsical adventures.”
After the ride, visitors will enter the Interactive Outpost exhibition.
