Modernist architectural icon the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, East Sussex, has re-opened as a national centre for the contemporary arts, after an £8m refurbishment.
New additions include galleries, a café bar and restaurant, an open roof terrace offering panoramic views of the coast, a new foyer and a shop.
The first floor gallery, the balconies, the ground floor terrace and the auditorium – which will offer live performances – have also been restored.
The project has been funded by Arts Council England, the Heritage Lottery Fund and other trusts, foundations and individuals. Details: www.dlwp.com
