Deal secures future of Irish Cultural Centre
Hammersmith and Fulham Council has secured the future of the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith, west London, after agreeing to sell the venue to its board of directors.
The facility, which has been purchased following a fundraising campaign and the receipt of a grant from the Irish government, will be turned into a community centre on the lower floors.
Residential accommodation will occupy the upper floors, while a concert hall and a café are to be included among the facilities at a later stage, subject to planning permission.
