Deal secures future of Swansea arts centre
An agreement between the University of Wales and Swansea Council has secured the future of the city's Dylan Thomas Centre, as well as helping to promote local creative businesses.
The Dylan Thomas Exhibition is to remain at the Maritime Quarter arts centre following the deal, which sees the institution lease the facility from the local authority.
Meanwhile, the main use of the building will be to house dedicated business space for local creative businesses that will enable innovative research development firms to grow.
Swansea Council leader Chris Holley said: "Long-term plans for the Dylan Thomas Centre area will also see it become an innovation zone where entrepreneurship and innovation can thrive."
