Developer sought for Haltwhistle plans
Northumberland County Council (NCC) and Hadrian's Wall Heritage (HWH) are seeking a private developer to help deliver a proposed new visitor attraction in Haltwhistle.
An information pack has now been made available, which outlines its ambitons for the future use of a 7.5-hectare (18.5-acre) site next to the A69 road. Research has already found that potential uses for the site could incorporate hotel/restaurant accommodation and a visitor orientation centre, as well as commercial workshops.
Yorkshire-based _space group has drawn up a site development brief to help assist potential developers. Expressions of interest are to be submitted by 31 January.
