Disney Dream reveals new innovations
Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, the Disney Dream, will boast some innovative touches, including interactive art and play-floors.
At the forefront of the 14-deck ship’s unique features, will be a reimagining of its Animator’s Palate restaurant, which can be found on the Dream’s sister ships, the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder.
The restaurant will be laid out like an animation studio, however, when the dinner service begins, wall-mounted LCD screens will switch to undersea environment scenes to create the illusion that guests are dining on the ocean floor.
The experience will also feature cameos from Finding Nemo characters such as Nemo, Dory, Squirt and Bruce the shark.
The ship will also feature the Disney Oceaneer Club and the Disney Oceaneer Lab - two interactive play-floors that allow children to engage in team play exercises where their movements control the action on the interactive floor.
There will also be 22 pieces of “Enchanted Art” throughout the ship – LCD screens made to look like artwork that will come to life when a guest is present.
The ship, which will accommodate 4,000 passengers, is scheduled to set sail on its maiden voyage on 26 January next year.
