Disneyland rollercoaster was inspected
A Disneyland repair crew found no problems when it inspected a rollercoaster only hours before the ride derailed and killed a 22-year-old man, according to police documents, which were reported by US National.
Four Disneyland mechanics performed routine maintenance on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad on 5 September, according to the documents released on 9 October.
Later that day, the rollercoaster derailed inside a tunnel as it was climbing a steep grade, killing passenger Marcelo Torres and injuring 10 others.
Disneyland employees are reported to have told police they heard an unusual clanking sound and were about to take one of the trains out of service before the crash.
Police have said the accident was not the result of criminal wrongdoing.
