Dorking Sports Centre gym revamp completed
Leisure Connection has re-launched the Harpers fitness gym at the Dorking Sports Centre following a £290,000 redevelopment.
The newly refurbished centre has been upgraded with 68 pieces of Technogym equipment and is one of the first public access leisure centres in the UK to have a specially designed boxing zone – supplied by Escape.
The new gym layout was redesigned to make most of the space available at the centre and now includes four spinning zones with NXT bikes, a cv zone, an area for cable machines and a personal training zone.
The communal areas throughout the leisure centre have also been improved.
The gym currently has 2,000 members and it is hoped that the revamp will encourage more people in the local community to visit the centre.
The centre is owned by Mole Valley District Council and managed by Leisure Connection.
