Dorking Sports Centre opens its refurbished gym
Leisure Connection has re-launched the Dorking Sports Centre following a £290,000 refurbishment of its Harpers' gym.
The new-look gym is part of Harpers' nationwide rebranding initiative to streamline the quality of its gyms and ensure brand consistency at all centres operated by Leisure Connection. There are 10 other refurbishments in the pipeline. The centre, owned by Mole Valley District Council, features 60 new stations of Technogym and Star Trac equipment and is split into four areas: a spin zone, a cardiovascular zone and an area for cable machines and personal training. The gym also features a boxing area for high impact workouts.
Kevin Yates, Harpers brand manager said: “This is one of the first Harpers re-brands we have undertaken as we strive to offer private quality facilities in a public access environment. There isn’t another health club in Dorking which offers these facilities and we are aiming to lead the way in local leisure and fitness provision.” The first new-look Harpers fitness gym was launched at the Riverside Swimming Centre in Norwich, in October 2008, having been fitted with a new £250,000, 100-station fitness suite – supplied by Technogym and Star Trac.
