Dudley pool reopens 'earlier than planned'
Dudley Leisure Centre's swimming pool has reopened following the completion of work on a refurbishment project - a week earlier than scheduled.
Due to take six weeks to complete, the scheme included improvements to the air handling and pool filter systems and was carried out by Dudley Council. The council has invested £830,000 in improvements work at Dudley Leisure Centre and two other facilities following a VAT rebate.
Dudley Council cabinet member for environment and culture David Stanley said: "Leisure staff have worked hard to ensure the pool re-opened in time for next week's school half-term holidays."
