Industry figures Maggy Dunphy, Diane Trieste and Liz Verbruggen have collaborated to create an industry resource – called The SOS Spa Project – to assist wellness businesses in preparing to welcome back guests following the Coronavirus shutdown.

Dunphy, Trieste and Verbruggen were inspired to create the platform to instil confidence and ease the burden for wellness businesses during their reopening phase, by providing complimentary support and guidance using targeted solutions.

The company is offering one-on-one support through phone calls or emails for those without access to professional advice in an evolving landscape of health ordinances, hygiene standards and consumer needs. In addition, clients will also be offered live assistance using facetime ‘tours’ to help anticipate and shape future guest and staff perspectives when returning to wellness businesses.

Combining over 80 years of hands-on stewardship of spas and wellness centres in

executive, resource and operator roles, the trio felt compelled to support and give back to the industry when they recognised the spa and wellness community was entering unchartered territory due to the virus.

In a statement, the company announced: “We wanted to find a way to give back to an industry filled with people whose passion and purpose is to take care of others. Now more than ever, the world needs nurturing and we’re committed to helping sustain the industry that provides it.

“Together we'll offer support and guidance to help to open your doors with confidence and assurance.”

The SOS Spa Project will release additional content via its dedicated website and social media accounts, including live discussions and helpful links relating to real-time issues and experiences faced by businesses welcoming guests back into their spas.
