ESPA debuts at Peninsula’s Beijing hotel
A large new ESPA-branded facility has opened at the Peninsula Hotel in Wangfujing, Beijing, China.
The 14,746sq ft (1,370sq m) day spa will be owned by the Peninsula Hotels Group (PHG) but managed and operated by ESPA.
Designed by the same architect responsible for the renovation of the hotel, Henry Leung of Chhada Siembieda Leung, the spa has 12 treatment rooms as well as two ‘spa within a spa’ suites for VIPs and couples.
Facilities include steambaths, ice fountains and saunas. There is also an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and relaxation area.
ESPA has also created two new body treatments for the Beijing spa. The Freedom of Life – Oriental Life Dance is a powerful massage that utilises joint release techniques and the Jade Hot Stone Massage harnesses the beneficial properties of jade combined with aromatherapy essential oils.
