EUR1m for West and North West Irish tourism
A new overseas joint marketing campaign designed to increase inbound tourism to the west and north west region of Ireland has been launched with EUR1m (£819,000) of funding.
The funding has been made available through Fáilte Ireland; the region's five local councils, Tourism Ireland, the Western Development Commission and Ireland West Airport Knock.
Additional promotional activities focusing on the West and North West are planned as part of the campaign, which will highlight the outdoor and adventure activities available.
