Ecsite launches grants
The European network of science centers and museums (Ecsite) is making available 15 subsidies as part of efforts to promote city-based science initiatives.
The grants, worth up to €2,500 (£2,170) each, will be awarded to organisations that are planning to host events that increase community awareness of the sciences.
Applications will be considered from local authorities, science centres and museums, associations, NGOs and institutions as well as individuals.
The subsidies are part of the FUND project - a European funded initiative to encourage collaborations and networks at city level to create dialogue and engagement activities with science.
The closing date to apply is 15 March 2010.
