Eden invests in Eden Explorer
The Eden Project in Cornwall will introduce portable multimedia guides to its guests.
To be called Eden Explorers, the new gadgets will offer visitors at the tourist attraction the option of viewing multimedia content while walking around the site.
The technology will be supplied by UK-based Node, a developer of location-based media players,
Node currently has similar devices available for guests at the London Zoo and Stourhead Gardens, a National Trust landmark.
The multimedia guide uses Wi-Fi and GPS technology to synchronize with a web-based server that stores all the content relevant to the site and also manages customer data.
