Edinburgh Leisure has signed a five year agreement for Gladstone Health and Leisure to deliver its membership, ePOS and bookings software solutions.

Edinburgh Leisure, a leisure trust that manages 32 venues across the Scottish capital, has been using Gladstone's software solutions for more than 10 years, and the renewed partnership will see the companies working together until at least 2016.

The contract renewal follows the implementation of Gladstone's new Software for Life programme, which reduces leisure operators' capital spending by providing an annual maintenance programme that eliminates the need to pay for upgrading software in the future.

Scott Mackenzie, Head of ICT for Edinburgh Leisure, said: "We are excited at the direction Gladstone is going since its acquisition in mid 2010. The Software for Life model is very valuable to us and Gladstone's commitments to investing in the market, in technology and in its customers are key indicators of a successful future partnership."

Scott Saklad, Gladstone's Managing Director commented: "Edinburgh Leisure has a long history with Gladstone and the trust's commitment for a further five years is testament to the great working partnership that we share and the business benefit the new Software for Life programme will provide."

Since the partnership began, Edinburgh Leisure has developed and extended its use of Gladstone leisure management systems. Improvements have been made to customer service through web bookings, whilst a self service kiosk has been added to fast-track customers through reception at their recently refurbished Craiglockhart Leisure Centre site. KPI reporting has been made easy for the trust with Gladstone's Reporting Data Layer and Tableau reporting tool.
