Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide plans on opening eight more hotels under its Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brand in China before the end of this year, plus a further 18 by 2015.

Openings scheduled for the remainder of 2010 include the 362-room Sheraton Zhongshan Hotel in Zhongshan, Sheraton's 30th hotel in Greater China and Starwood's 60th property in the region; the Sheraton Wuxi Binhu Hotel in Wuxi; the Sheraton Tianjin Binhai Hotel in Tianjin; the 303-room Sheraton Wenzhou Hotel in Wenzhou; and the Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel in Guangzhou. Also due to open before the end of the year are the 490-room Sheraton Shanghai Hong Kou Hotel in Shanghai, the Sheraton Jiangyin Hotel in Jiangyin and the Sheraton Shenzhou Peninsula Resort at Wanning on Hainan Island.

Openings so far revealed for 2011 include the Sheraton Beijing Dongcheng Hotel, the brand's second hotel in Beijing, and the Sheraton Hangzhou Wetland Park Resort, the first Sheraton hotel to open in China's new resort destination south of Shanghai on Hangzhou Bay.
