Enterprise Inns sells six London pubs
Pub operator Enterprise Inns has sold six of its freehold London pubs at auction through Allsops.
Included were The Cumberland Arms in Hammersmith, sold for £1.68m to the Purple Tiger Pub Co.; the Lillie Langtry in Fulham, £1.46m, to M J Conway; the Round Midnight in Islington, £1.41m, to Nervous Tension Venues; and the Nellie Dean, on Soho's Dean Street, £2.81m, to Fleetcross. The other two were the Northumberland Arms on Tottenham Court Road, sold to Faucet Inn Pub Co. for £2.13m; and the Smugglers Tavern on nearby Warren Street sold for £1.37m to the Davent Pub Company.
Enterprise had also included the The Metropolitan in Westbourne Park in its sell-off plans but this was sold prior to auction to Realpubs for an undisclosed sum. Similarly included, the Northumberland Arms on King's Cross Road was withdrawn from the auction. All of the pubs sold were leased back to the company on new 35 year leases, with an option for Enterprise to break at 25 years subject to six months notice.
