Esporta backs the REPs
Esporta has achieved 100 per cent registration of all fitness staff.
New employees not on the register at the start of their employment are now required to have gained registration by the end of their three-month induction period.
Esporta has always been fully supportive of the register’s goal to improve standards in the industry through qualification. To reflect this, the company funds all staff registrations including renewals.
Mark Talley, group health and fitness manager, said: “The REPs performs a vital function within the industry. It provides the consumer with a benchmark from which to measure the experience and credibility of the instructor delivering advice."
He continued: “As a health club operator, it enables us to demonstrate our commitment to the provision of a professional service.”
Esporta employees are able to maintain their CPD credit requirements by attending in-house training modules.
Speaking about the CPD credit requirements, Talley added: “The attainment of CPD credits on these courses will enable us to support our staff in the maintenance of their registration. Over the coming months, we are looking to add specialist workshops to our portfolio of CDP accredited training. These will be delivered by an external training company. ”
