Europa-Park adds new attractions
Germany’s largest theme park, Europa-Park, is launching new rides and attractions for the start of the spring season on 31 March.
A Black Forest half-timbered house built in 1474 will welcome guests at the entrance to the historical castle park, which is located next to German Alley.
Next to the main entrance, a 1,000sq m (10,760sq ft) Science House educational attraction will invite guests to experience 80 interactive features, as well as workshops and activity corners featuring information on science and technology.
An interactive family ride called Abenteuer Atlantis – to be built below the existing Greek Village attraction – will feature scenes of coral reefs, abandoned shipwrecks and colourful shoals.
In addition, guests will be able to stay overnight at a new four-star hotel themed on an old Portuguese monastery, which will feature a poolscape, a spa, conference areas and a beer room in the cellar. The hotel will open in July. Details: www.europa-park.co.uk
