Everyone Active invests in children's fitness
Management company Everyone Active has trained up its entire fitness staff in order to be better equipped to offer physical activity sessions to children.
A total of 197 fitness trainers and workers at Everyone Active's 75 leisure centres nationwide have completed the Adapting Fitness Instruction for Adolescents Level 2 qualification.
Trainers will use their specialist skills to adapt fitness classes such as circuits, spin and step to a previously under provisioned demographic of young teenagers - 11-15-year-olds.
The award includes an accredited child protection and safe guarding unit and is delivered by Fit For Sport.
By the end of the year, all full time staff employed by the company will have completed the qualification, which will enable them to better cater leisure, sport and fitness activities to 11-15-year-olds.
