Expansion for Sense of Touch
The fifth in a series of Sense of Touch-branded day spas will launch in Hong Kong, China, in September 2009.
Located in a historic colonial building within the mainly-residential area of Repulse Bay, the Sense of Touch by the Bay spa joins the other four Hong Kong-based sites.
Independently owned by Neil and Anna Orvay, Cathy Chon of the Catch-On company provided consultancy services for the new facility, which was then created by the Hong Kong based designer Eva Leung of Artichaut Ltd.
With six treatment rooms, six pedicure stations and an outdoor gazebo, the spa uses Aromatherapy Associates, Natura Bisse and Dermalogica products in its therapies.
Speaking about further expansion, co-owner Neil Orvay said: "We see the potential for up to another three Sense of Touch spas in Hong Kong. Beyond this, there is potential for further expansion into China and other selected Asian countries. However, we will only do this when the right local partners have been identified."
