Expansion planned for Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut has announced plans to open 75 new restaurants and delivery outlets in 2002, creating up to 3,000 new jobs.
The announcement came as the company's opened its 450th restaurant in Piccadilly, London. Sales for the first six months of 2001 were more than £150m, and total sales for the year are expected to top £310m.
'As a result of our increased sales and profits we can commit to our most aggressive expansion and investment programme since our arrival in the UK in 1973,' said chief executive of Pizza Hut, Mark Jones.
