Extension for Guisborough forest visitor centre
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council (RCBC) has started work on a £300,000 scheme to enhance facilities at Guisborough Forest and Walkway.
The outdoor activity destination's visitor centre is to be doubled in size as part of the project, providing a café, educational facilities and a new exhibition room. New facilities for cyclists - such as racks and washing areas - will also be established, along with a link between the forest and Guisborough town centre.
The scheme will comprise the second major stage of improvements being undertaken as part of the Guisborough Market Towns Programme.
