F1 deal for Hilton International
Hilton International has agreed a long-term corporate partnership with Team McLaren Mercedes (TMM) which began on 9 September at the Belgian Grand Prix.
Team McLaren Mercedes – which includes leading F1 drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Juan Pablo Montoya – will display the Hilton logo on the lower rear wing end plate of its two MP4-20 racing cars.
The new partnership with TMM is part of Hilton’s ongoing international marketing strategy to position the company among young and affluent travellers.
The hotel group has also launched Hilton Racing, a complimentary membership club which will provide a range of benefits to customers. These include a limited edition membership card; exclusive discounts on a series of resort holidays and short breaks; plus merchandise and access to other selected breaks and events via the affiliated website.
Ian Carter, chief executive of Hilton International, said: “Formula One offers a global stage of unrivaled prominence with live broadcasts to hundreds of millions of fans in 200 countries worldwide. We believe that TMM is the ideal partner to support our growth and keep our brand image fresh and appealing.” Details: www.hilton.com/racing
