FIA and REPs working on key projects
The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) is working with the Fitness Industry Association (FIA) on a number of key activity projects as part of an on-going partnership between the organisations.
In particular, the FIA has been invited to present a series of key-note speeches and seminars at REPs conventions in a move to give REPs members the chance to get involved in FIA projects like 'go', 'Sweat in the City', 'active at school' and 'Change4life'. REPs Registrar Jean-Ann Marnoch said: "The FIA has an unrivalled wealth of expertise particularly in the fields of management, leadership and co-ordinating national events.
"We're delighted that they are so keen to share this with our members who, I'm sure, will respond to these opportunities very enthusiastically. Certainly the response so far has been very positive. "The FIA and REPs have worked in tandem for a very long time on matters of policy and procedure but this is the first time we've been able to let our members benefit as well and we're looking forward to even more opportunities."
Andree Deane, FIA CEO, added: "REPs members are at the front-line of fitness and therefore key to delivering our more people, more active, more often message. "It's been great to get out and meet them and we're looking forward to getting involved in more conventions throughout the year."
