FIA announces rebranding plans for 2012
The Fitness Industry Association (FIA) has announced plans to rebrand during 2012, to better reflect its role in working across the UK's physical activity sector.
Speaking at the FIA Vanguard Council meeting yesterday, CEO Dave Stalker said that the association's board had approved the plans and that a consultation period with members and key stakeholders would now follow
"The FIA now has a broader remit working across the indoor and outdoor activity space and is building new and exciting partnerships across Government, sport and the Olympic legacy," said Stalker.
"We will stay loyal to our vision of more people, more active, more often, but feel 2012 is an ideal time to enhance our brand essence and showcase our offer to the wider market. We are starting the process by consulting our stakeholders and welcome feedback."
He added that an online member consultation would take place and a number of key stakeholders would be interviewed during January 2012.
Proposals also include appointing a marketing agency being called into review and refresh brand guidelines in February 2012, with the launch of the new brand taking place in March 2012.
The new brand will then phased in at key industry events and activities throughout summer 2012.
