FIA links with retail giant
FIA members are being asked to create their own bespoke minimum eight week offer for a course of activity as part of a new campaign to work with one of the UK's best known brands - Marks & Spencer.
The 'Get Back Into' programme is based on rewarding positive behaviour towards physical activity for the duration of eight weeks.
In return for commitment, M&S will provide a £5 voucher to women attending two sessions and £5 on the completion of 80 per cent of sessions. An additional £5 will be awarded for each friend introduced to the programme by an existing member of a facility.
Developed primarily for women aged 25- 65 who are not currently active, the M&S pilot taking place in the East of England from September - December 2010, will be extended to a national scale in September 2011.
The 'Get Back Into' programme is a partnership between the FIA, Sport England, National Governing Bodies and County Sports Partnerships to create opportunities for women to get back into physical activity. Price setting is up to the individual member provider.
M&S will promote the initiative in store and online, driving women to the Get Back Into website where member's offers will be listed.
